I’ve just received my author’s copies of the Dictionary. Rather pleased with myself (given how many year’s work it represents, I guess I had better be), and with the warm and appreciative puffs by Keith Ansell-Pearson and Graham Parkes. It enters a crowded market of ‘guides’ of various kinds, of course. But I think this book stands out (both as a guidebook, and as a research tool) for being a guide to how Nietzsche uses philosophical language, not just to the concepts he intends by them.
Given the book contains several hundred entries, and upwards of six thousand citations and cross-references, there are bound to be some errors — in addition, there will be matters of substance I simply omitted. I’m serious about collecting all these with the ultimate aim of producing a second edition, but in the near term of publishing them on this site.
