On Nihilism

I have just returned from the 6th Franco-Norwegian workshop on philosophy and wine. The theme this year was ‘Between Science and Aesthetics’. My paper was delivered as part of a panel on the phenomenon of ‘holiday wines’ with Gunnar Karlsen, and we will try to work up our joint views into a publication. For lunch, the day after the conference, a few of us went to the Restaurant Mini Palais, which occupies the SE corner of the Grand Palais. Now, this place is hardly a secret, but it was my first time, and with sun, blue skies, and a perfect 26 degrees, it was very memorable indeed (the food and wine were good too!). Maybe you can imagine:
