The Postgraduate (taught) Experience Survey has just completed. This is an independent, national audit of how postgraduate students feel about their course. I’m very pleased to report that our students on the MA in Continental Philosophy are happy indeed. 100% of respondents are pleased with the course overall, and 100% would recommend it to a friend.
At a more detailed level of response, we score particularly well on both ‘Engagement’ (the day to day work on and interaction with the course) and ‘Assessment and Feedback’ (required work and how it is marked). There are a few things we need to improve, though. Two key areas leaped out at me: our students don’t feel they have a role in deciding how the course is run, and they don’t feel confident that they could access the University’s support services. We’ll work on these aspects for 2015-16!
