A new semester approaches

The first week of teaching for new or returning students on our taught degree courses will be SEPTEMBER 21st, 2015. It would be helpful if you could enroll (or re-enroll) a couple of weeks prior to that date, so that we can get everyone on the Blackboard system, ready to get started. Please see the MA page on this site for information on required book purchases for ‘Transcendence and the Body’ or ‘Knowledge and Politics’. (Please note that there are only two required texts for T&B and not the list that the e-vision system might be suggesting.)

‘Blackboard’ is the system we use for distributing course materials, and for managing discussion forums and assignment submissions. It is browser-based; there are no software downloads. To the best of my knowledge, virtually any computer configuration and browser is capable of using it, although there are some problems with older versions of Internet Explorer. We work a great deal with PDF files, and with Microsoft Word documents — any recent office package (e.g. Open Office) will be fine.
