We had beautiful sunshine for the University Quarter Community Action Day on the 20th April 2016.
- Cakes and pizza made by Stoke College students were on sale.
- Refreshments were provided by the Friends of Hanley Park (Chair Carole Ware).

- #Try20 – 2 20 min led walks around Hanley Park with individuals
- Turning brown to green – a walk to identify brown spaces that could be improved as part of the green route with Airspace Gallery with 4 participants.
The #MidweekMile walking group of 8, led by Staffordshire University, walked round the park and stopped to learn about the University Quarter and the 1000 Lives Community Network and reflect on the Five Ways to Wellbeing.
Stoke on Trent City of Sport van attended and gave out around 100 packs of information to visitors.

Stoke College staff led 2 Bike rides providing bikes for 10 people to take part.
We had a football game and a Kick Rounders match with Sixth Form College SportsMaker, with around 37 participants.
Airspace Gallery artist Anna Francis was gardening in the Bee Friendly Garden.
At least 3 groups of learners from Stoke College visited the event with their lecturers and talked about opportunities to get involved in running other activities in future.
For all organisations involved it was a very positive partnership event.
