The School of Computing is celebrating 50 Years of Computing Excellence (1965-2015) – a milestone in its 50 years’ history of being at the forefront of computing education. To mark the occasion, we’ll be hosting a series of celebratory events throughout the year.
We want to thank all staff and alumni for helping make the School of Computing what it is today. We are one family, the reach and footprint of which spans the globe. Over the last 50 years this family has directly influenced the evolution of computing as a technical discipline and industry. It has helped to create an international workforce of highly-skilled computing professionals who have applied their knowledge and skills to yield transformative solutions to solve society’s problems. The School of Computing has a great heritage and we look forward to strengthening and building on our success as we move forward – continuing to pioneer in the world of computing and the digital economy.
Wherever you are – please celebrate. Reflect on your time with the School of Computing at Stafford or Stoke-on-Trent. Reflect on how this time influenced your life and career, and be assured that the School remains committed to providing the best time and experience to its students now and in the future. We want to create a shared experience, so we’ll be asking you to submit photographs and narratives of your memories shortly – we hope to compile and post these on this website. Further details on how to do this will be made available soon.
