Available at levels 6-7, Degree Apprenticeships combine academic study from a traditional university degree with practical experience and wider employment skills vital for career success. The apprentice splits their time between studying at university and working throughout, gaining a full bachelor’s degree whilst earning a salary.

The cost of the course fees is shared between the government and employer; the government will invest £2 for every £1 the employer contributes, enabling the apprentice to gain their qualification without having to pay the fees.

Information for Employers

Staffordshire University’s Degree Apprenticeships have been developed in collaboration with government and leading regional and national employers to ensure the apprentices can fulfil the requirements of a demanding role. The government is providing generous financial support for participating companies (this will be replaced by the apprenticeship levy in 2017).

Information for Learners

To study a Degree Apprenticeship learners must currently be in employment with or due to be employed by an organisation that is willing to support them financially by paying their tuition fees in return to a commitment from the learner to professional development within the organisation. Staffordshire University may be able to help to identify and suitable organisation.
