Data Scientist (Remote)

London £40,000+ THE COMPANY Harnham are working with a very exciting online marketplace in the UK right now who are currently looking for a Data Scientist to join their data science function. You will join a team of 10 data scientists responsible for work in recommender systems, customer behaviour and product optimisation. You will be required to work on production-level machine learning problems and be able to also excel in areas of data engineering and software engineering too. Part of your role will also be to drive the use of cutting-edge methodologies for the business. Tech stack: Python & Spark.
You must have:
- An MSc or Ph.D. in Machine Learning, Statistics, Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence or Mathematics
- A broad range of data science skills and variety of technical proficiencies
- Proficiency in a variety of machine learning techniques
Senior Toxicology Scientist
The job holder plans and manages preclinical activities. This involves designing and managing toxicology programmes to support new product development. The job holder represents the company to contract research organisations (CRO), academic centres and development partners.
Requirements: • A degree (BSc, MSc or PhD) in Toxicology or another appropriate scientific discipline
- Good toxicology background with strong experience gained in the pharmaceutical industry or contract research organisation (CRO) environment
- Knowledge of applicable regulatory guidelines and legislation
- Experienced in scientific writing and project management/study conduct oversight
- Good organisational skills and the ability to prioritise
- Ability to lead, direct, manage, motivate and develop individuals and third parties
- Good report writing and presentation skills
- Good communication skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Working knowledge of Excel, Word, PowerPoint, search engines and databases used for literature searches
- Ability to work in a team and as an individual
- Demonstrates a pragmatic approach to problem solving
