Round 1

In 2015, we had 8 winners of the Future Lights competition. Winners came from across Europe, and worked in ceramics as curators, designers and artists.

In October 2015, the finalists gave presentations in Stoke-on-Trent, as part of the British Ceramics Biennial. In February 2016, the Round 1 Future Lights ambassadors showed their work at the prestigious Ambiente trade fair.

The ambassadors returned to Stoke-on-Trent in August 2016 to collaborate with their peers in responding to a design challenge set by the judges, representatives from the Porzellanikon, British Ceramics Biennial, Staffordshire University and the Design and Crafts Council of Ireland.
