Staffs Fringe week 1 – what’s been happening?
Staffs Fringe Festival opened with a Big Lunch in Hanley Park.
We believe it is important to work with and support our local community partners.
We promote and contribute to many events including London Road Festival.
Check out this video by our Staffs Fringe team journalist Chantal from Staffs Live!
It gives a flavour of the creativity of Stoke on Trent.
Get clay under your fingernails with BCB
Join the BCB at the Fringe Finale to make a ceramic flower and be part of a large-scale contemporary artwork at this years British Ceramics Biennial.
Traditional flower-maker, RIta, will be on hand to help you, talk more about the exhibition and chat about traditional ceramic skills still being used in the City.
By making a ceramic forget-me-not flower , you’ll become part of the 194000 exhibition at the festival. 194000 will be a Stoke-on-Trent WW1 100th anniversary memorial to the men of the North Staffordshire Regiment who went to war 1914-18. The large ceramic-flower based installation will take over a large area of the festival and encourage visitors to get involved.
