This prestigious school, which is steeped in history is seeking an exceptional candidate to join the busy and successful Sport and PE Department for the beginning of the new academic year.
Graduate Assistants are an integral part of PE department’s staff and your contribution is both sporting and administrative, offering recent graduates the opportunity to participate in coaching their specialist sport as well as the chance to develop their range of sports knowledge.The administrative part of the role is vital in ensuring that the department runs smoothly. This role would suit someone considering teaching as a career. Equally it would suit someone with a love of sport, who would like the experience of a dynamic, professional work environment for a year.
Working hours will be flexible to take into account attendance at fixtures and some adaptability will be required. This is a fixed term appointment starting on 1st September 2018 and ending on 5th July 2019, full-time, term time only (34 weeks a year).
The rate of pay will be £1,495 per full calendar month, subject to the usual deductions. This will be paid monthly in arrears throughout the term of the appointment.
You will be entitled to paid holiday and bank holidays pro rata to that of a full-time post (20 days leave, plus 8 days bank/public holidays per annum) which, as this is a term-time only post, you are not entitled to take during term time. We may be able to offer accommodation on the school site. If you choose not to take this, a monthly rent allowance of £750 is payable.
