VACANCY: School Sports Coordinator

Port Vale Foundation Trust is looking for a passionate individual who can lead a team and assist with the expansion of the current coaching delivery within the Foundation throughout its school sports and participation programme.
The post will oversee the development of our schools offer by designing a variety of projects to be delivered across the national curriculum. Working with other SMT you will then have the responsibility to drive and increase the Foundation’s financial performance relating to work in schools through sales, sponsorship opportunities and grant funding via the Premier League Primary Stars programme (PLPS)
Utilising funding provided by the Premier League Charitable Fund, the role will be responsible for developing and implementing the PLPS programme for children aged between 5 and 11 in primary school settings.
The candidate must understand the importance of planning, delivering and evaluation projects and have a passion for community engagement through the vehicle of a professional Football Club. Experience of working in education coupled with having knowledge of the National Curriculum for PE (preferably Primary school) is essential to the post.
The successful candidate must hold a minimum level 2 NGB award in specific sports, an in date safeguarding protecting children and First Aid certificate. All coaches will be required to hold an enhanced DBS certificate or subject to an enhanced DBS check prior to commencing.
Closing date for the all applications is Wednesday 16th May 2018, 5pm with all interviews taking place wk commencing 21st May 2018.
The pay for this position is £16,000 – £19,000 per annum and is fixed for 12 months subject to performance and funding.
