Academy Match Analyst Internship
Stoke City Football Club of the English Football League, has an opportunity for an Academy Match Analyst Internship for the forthcoming season at our Training Ground Facility at Clayton Wood in Trent Vale. The position requires a commitment to work within Stoke City Football Club’s Category 1 Academy.
You will report to the Lead Academy Match Analyst, assisting a progressive and enthusiastic Academy Match Analyst Department in providing support largely to the U14 – U9 squads.
Main Roles and Responsibilities (Shared):
Filming (wide angle) and coding school matches using SportsCode Gamebreaker.
- Filming (wide angle) away games when the opposition are not recording.
- Filming (wide angle) tournaments hosted at Clayton Wood.
Knowledge and Experience
IT literate, specifically with the use of Apple MacBook’s, iMovie, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel and Microsoft PowerPoint.
- Experience of using basic performance analysis equipment (Camera and Tripod).
- Knowledge of football.
Personal Specification
Committed, enthusiastic and highly motivated.
- Ability to work as part of the Academy Match Analysis team.
- Positive and professional attitude.
- To be available to work on a Sunday.
CPD and Finance
In house CPD will be given throughout the season across a range of match analysis related subjects, using a range of sports specific software.
Duration of Placement
2020-21 Season (September 2020 to June 2021).

The positions will be offered on a casual basis. All relevant training will be provided.
