Applicants must have an Enhanced CRB Disclosure, NGB L1 or L2 qualification in one sport IS essential and further qualifications in other sports is desirable. Applicants will also need to travel to and from venues – so own transport is important.

Rate of pay is  £10 – £15 per hour based on your experience and qualifications . You will work flexible hours every week Monday – Friday, and from time to time on a Saturday morning.

COMMUNITY SPORTS COACH – PORT VALE FC FOUNDATION TRUST

To instruct/coach and supervise all participants in the classes ensuring coaching coheres with the standards of the National Governing Body of the sport.

Main Tasks/Duties/Responsibilities:

  • To assist SMT in the planning and delivering of the Foundations community projects across all themes of delivery.( School sport, Football Development, Inclusion, Education, Health and Disability)
  • Delivery of a high quality extra-curricular programme, linking male and female players in to the PVFC Foundation player pathway.
  • Deliver high quality lessons across the national curriculum.
  • To be able to give first aid treatment where necessary.
  • To assist lead coaches during half term holiday camps.
  • Lead by example by creating exceptional session delivery plans and delivering to the highest standards at all times.
  • To ensure the correct procedures are adopted in the event of an emergency.
  • To keep registers of the classes for attendance, promotion and exam purposes.
  • To collect and record course data.

General:

  • To be aware of and comply with current Health and Safety Regulations and the Foundations Health and Safety policy and procedures as they relate to the duties and responsibilities of the post.
  • To undertake any appropriate training as required.
  • To maintain awareness of risks and feed these into the formal risk management process and also to control the risks inherent in your job and report any risk concerns to your manager.
  • To be aware of and adhere to the Foundations codes of conducts.
  • To undertake any other duties that may be reasonably allocated to the post holder commensurate with the grading and responsibilities of the post.

PORT VALE FC FOUNDATION TRUST – DEVELOPMENT CENTRE COACH

A fantastic opportunity has arisen at Port Vale Foundation Trust for a part time development Centre Coach.

Main Tasks/Duties/Responsibilities

  • To take a lead role with a specific age group in the Foundations development centre.
  •  Delivery of a high quality coaching sessions linking players in to the PVFC player pathway.
  •  The delivery of the development centre coaching in training and games across all three development phases in the Foundations Player Development Centre.
  •  To be able to give first aid treatment where necessary.
