The Placemaking and Co-Creation Programme for Heritage and Cultural Leaders
FAQ
I am not from the region. Am I still eligible to apply?
Priority will be given to applicants who work, live or collaborate with partners in the North Staffordshire Region
However, if applicants feel this programme caters for them, and they want to learn from what we are doing in North Staffordshire or are planning to be active in our region, we would very much welcome their applications.
For applicants outside of our area and with no links to our region (as of yet), we also welcome your applications, but please note that our coaches and our consortium partnership is significantly made up of partners from the area. As a #HeritagePlaces initiative, be aware that we may have to prioritise regionally active applicants.
On what dates and times are the sessions scheduled?
The most up-to-date details of delivery dates and times will always be contained in the Application Pack.
However, in general, the programme will be delivered on Thursday afternoons, from 13:30 to 16:30. Sessions will be either online, in-person or hybrid, and there will be a few sessions delivered in the early evening between 17:30 to 19:00.
Where is the course taking place?
Most of the in-person provision will be taking place in the Mellor Building at the University of Staffordshire, College Road Campus in Stoke-on-Trent.
However, there will be some sessions held in different places with busses being organised to get us there and back.
For most of the in-person sessions, it will be possible to join virtually, however, it should be noted that although we make every effort to give virtual fellows a great experience, the in-person learning provision is designed with in-person provision first, and virtual joiners second. So please do consider if you can attend in-person sessions in-person, however, if life gets in the way, there is likely to be the opportunity to join us virtually.
Can I join only one or two sessions?
Our priority will be to support a cohort-based approach, but for those cultural leaders in needs of only specific CPD sessions, we have identified those units that might be useful for a wider community of cultural and heritage leaders, and we will open these up for more registrations.
