Availability and Dates:

Below are dates for the start of each cohort and the application deadline. The programme will be delivered Thursday afternoons, from 13:30 to 16:30, sessions will be a mixture between in-person, hybrid or online, and there will be some sessions delivered in the early evening between 17:30 to 19:00.  (For a more detailed breakdown of all days of one cohort, head to this page. )

Completing the application form

To apply please complete the form at the start and end of this document and sent to CreatePlace@staffs.ac.uk

Applications will go through a shortlisting process and successful applicants will be notified of their place on the course usually 4 weeks before start.

NOTE: As the first cohort starts soon, this period is shortened to ca 2 weeks, but we will make every effort to let you know if you have been accepted asap.

Participants have the choice to submit the complete word form, or if so preferred, submit relevant section as a short video covering the aspects in the application form. Please upload to a site such as vimeo and email us at above address the link to the video and any passwords needing to access the video application. 

NOTE: This is not about the artistic quality of your video and filming yourself on your phone, in portrait or landscape, is fine, but when submitting video answers please ensure:

  1. The camera is stationary and you are not holding it whilst filming.
  2. We can see and hear you clearly.
  3. Your video is private.
  4. You have sent us the relevant link and password (if needed) to access the video.
  5. Your video for each answer is no longer than 6 minutes total.

CREATE PLACE is committed to diversifying the cultural sector. We particularly encourage applications from groups who are underrepresented in the heritage and cultural sectors, including people from Black, Asian and minority ethnic backgrounds and disabled people. Please note there are limited bursaries available upon request to support travel costs for participants based outside the region (North Staffordshire) and to support access needs.
