Our Biological and Biomedical Science department are leaders in academic delivery and innovation, and are building a diverse community, creating unique opportunities for both staff and students. Our vision is for Connected Pathology; developing potential, connections and people, growing ideas and crafting leaders through academic study, sharing real-world experience and professional development.
In 2018 our team were presented with the NHS England Chief Scientific Officer’s Award for ‘Excellence in Education Delivery’ by HRH The Princess Royal and Professor Dame Sue Hill, together with the Institute of Biomedical Science sponsored Advancing Healthcare Award for ‘Inspiring the Future Biomedical Workforce’, for the development of our Healthcare Science Degree Apprenticeship programme.
