The Future Journalist Awards 2024

Are you enthusiastic about writing or creating media content? The Future Journalist Awards is the perfect competition for individuals like you!

Participate in The Future Journalist Awards 2024 for an opportunity to display your skills and be in with a chance of winning fantastic prizes. Hosted by Staffordshire University, and organised by it’s very own Journalism students, this yearly competition is designed to motivate aspiring journalists, bloggers, and content creators of the future.

Choose a topic you love. Submit a written piece (article, review, blog) or create a short video or audio clip with your smartphone. Only individual entries are accepted, no group submissions.

If you make the shortlist in your category, you’ll be invited to the FJA Awards Ceremony in April 2024 at our new flagship building, The Catalyst. The event will also be streamed on our YouTube channel for remote viewing.

We’ll be accepting submissions from students in school years 3 to 13, so if you fall into that category and want to be in with a chance to make your mark early-on and win some amazing prizes then stay tuned!

Submissions for The Future Journalist Awards 2024 are now open and will close on March 1st. Get ready to unleash your creativity and show everybody how you could contribute to the world of journalism. Follow us on social media for updates and be the first to know when the competition kicks off. We can’t wait to see your incredible entries!
