Presentation of 2023 Rob Shaw Placement Student of the Year Award

The Partnership was delighted last month to have awarded Kiel Angeles with the Rob Shaw Award.
The award was first presented in 2022 following the untimely death of our friend and colleague Rob Shaw, who as a lecturer in the Computing Department at the University of Staffordshire and was a leading member of the Staffordshire Forensic Partnership – an initiative between Staffordshire Police and University of Staffordshire to collaborate on training, development and student placements.
Kiel was commended by the staff for the outstanding results he achieved, for his hard work, professionalism and dedication to the project.
Kiel said: “Thank you Staffordshire Police for giving me this opportunity to do my placement within your Digital Forensics Team. It goes without saying that I would not be employed by CCL Forensics if it wasn’t for the Staffordshire Forensic Program. This has benefitted me as it got me to kickstart my Digital Forensics career. Thank you to everyone involved, especially Rob Shaw who taught me at the start of my time at the university.”
