I was lucky enough to go and visit the Great Minds Bus as part of a job I was on at Burslem campus of Stoke-on-Trent College.
That bus is freaking awesome. If I’d have seen that when I was applying then it would have made my choice a lot easier!
The aim of it is to give more people the opportunity to have a look around the campus – without leaving the bus.
Without a doubt the coolest aspect of the bus is the cinema and that virtual reality goggles.
The goggles and the system it runs on took six months to create and it is brilliant.
At the moment there are only a few places that you can visit with the virtual reality goggles.
My favourite is the crime scene house, as I have never actually been in there. The broadcast newsroom was awesome too, it was an exact replica which was brilliant.
Upstairs is home to a kitchen, communal area and a bedroom designed on the newly refurbished halls.
I do think the upstairs gives a good insight to potential students of what the different areas will look like if they go to Staffs.
By the time they come to Staffs all of the halls will have been updated and refurbished.
