Şafak Dağhan completed her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Ege University between 1992-1996. She completed her Master of Science in the Ege University School of Nursing, Department of Public Health Nursing. In 1999, she became a Research Assistant in the same school. In 2005, she received her PhD in Department of Public Health Nursing, Ege University. Between 2008-2012, she worked at Ege University School of Nursing as Assistant Professor. In 2012, she became Associate Professor. Dr. Dağhan has published articles on nursing and public health in Turkish and English. Her research interests are health promotion, school health, smoking cessation, oral health in elderly, diseases prevention, spirituality and spiritual care.
Dr. Aslı Kalkım, PhD, RN

Aslı Kalkım completed her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Dokuz Eylül University, İzmir, Turkey between 2001-2006. In 2006, she became a Research Assistant in the Ege University. She completed her Master of Science in the Ege University School of Nursing, Department of Public Health Nursing. In 2012, she became a Lecturer in the Ege University Faculty of Nursing, Department of Public Health Nursing. In 2015, she received her PhD in Department of Public Health Nursing, Ege University. Aslı Kalkım has published articles on nursing and public health in Turkish and English. Her research interests are adolescent health, women’s health, bone health, school health, early detection, spirituality and spiritual care.
