Santa under a pile of presents

It’s that time of year again where we splash out on things we can’t afford just to make our loved ones happy. As a student, Christmas presents may be the last thing on our mind of what we want to spend our money on and that’s where I’m here to help.. I’ll teach you how to find the perfect Christmas presents without having to break the bank.

  1. Keep the buying list small- Buy presents for those whom you are closest to. It’s easy to get carried away and wanting to buy presents for everyone from your mum to the person that you saw on the street and they smiled at you (lol exaggeration I know). Just because someone gives you a present doesn’t mean you have to buy them one too if you can’t afford it.
  2. Decide what you want to buy them- For each person, write down a few of their interests or a couple ideas of what you would like to get them.
  3. Look for sales- Many stores will be doing Christmas sales, especially online so keep your eyes peeled and get those bargains! EbayAmazon and Aliexpress are great places for those wanting to shop on a budget.
  4. Not everyone needs a present- If you have friends that are related somehow buy them one present to share such as chocolates or something else that you know they can enjoy with their family on Christmas Day. This can even be done with your family too rather than buying each person an item.
  5. DIY! – Youtube is your best friend, there are loads of amazing diy videos to suit all tastes and a handmade present just shows you’ve put in effort.

I hope these tips have helped you, have a great time shopping!
