One good thing about Staffs Uni, is while you’re studying and going between lectures you will never starve or go thirsty. On campus we have so many places to eat and drink we’re spoilt for choice. I’m quite sure I’ve tried them all but some more than others. But here’s my tried and tested Top 3:
Ember Lounge

If you’ve read my blogs before you could probably guess this one but my top place to eat has to be the Ember Lounge.
It has the widest range of food on the menu on campus. Service is swift, the food is tasty and there is almost always something going on to keep you entertained while you eat whether it’s football on the big screen, karaoke on a Tuesday or quiz night on a Sunday. The menu has such a range from breakfast whether you fancy a full English or just a sausage/bacon sandwich (request it’s not on the menu) they have you covered! All your classic pub food burgers, jackets and a personal fave Fish and Chips. They have desserts that really hit that really hit the sweet spot the Cooke sundae is to die for! If I could describe it any way I’d say it’s like having our own Weatherspoon’s on campus but it’s better.
Pavilion: Fusion Eating

In close second it has to be Staffs Uni’s newest eatery, Pavilion: Fusion Eating located in the new Beacon Building. Having tried it out last week at the taster afternoon, I found I wanted to eat there again and have since been back and you really can’t blame me – check out how good the food looks below and you’ll wonder why you’ve not been yet, they have a great selection of street food but has the feel of gourmet food! At £4 for any main meal you really can’t go wrong, it’s the tastiest food you’ll get for that price.
Brunchies

Finally, it’s not a campus run place but it’s a must after a hard night at LRV you really can’t end a night any other way than a trip to Brunchies! I’ll admit it doesn’t look anything special but it really does hit the spot after a night out. Burger and chips you can’t go wrong!
There’s other places on and around campus to eat and drink like Squeezbox or Costa in the library or Verve on the Leek Road site but I couldn’t possibly write about them all, try different ones and you’ll find your own faves.
