Being a Psychology Student At Staffs

“Psychology, huh? So… What am I thinking?” *facepalm*

Little did you know, but psychologists cannot read your mind! Shocking, I know. If I had a pound for every time I was asked this back in school, I could have probably funded my 3-year undergrad course no sweat. That course being BSc Psychology and Counselling, which I graduated from earlier this year, giving me not only knowledge and skills I will use in my future career, but also some of the best memories I hope to hold on to for the rest of my life.

‘But wait, if you graduated, then what are you still doing here?’ I hear you ask. You’re pretty observant. Well apparently I can’t get enough, as I am now about to start another year of studying, doing my MSc Health Psychology course, which should hopefully be testament for how great the Psychology department at Staffs really is. I’m really looking forward to meeting my new course mates, and working in a professional, collaborative environment, where I should hopefully develop further, and prepare myself for the big wide world out there.

Since being welcomed by the university, I have achieved so much and met so many amazing people. I’ve presented my research project at conferences, founded and ran societies with friends, and even got a little wild every now and then. If you’re joining us in September, I hope you enjoy your time at Staffs, because trust me when I say the time flies by!
