For those of us that graduated this summer just gone, the University is sending out a survey to ask the class of 2017 what they have been up to.
The Destination of Leavers from Higher Education survey – DLHE for short – is a national survey that is distributed by all universities, to gather information on how their students have fared once they’ve left campus and headed out into the big wide world.
Last year’s survey found that 97.5% of Staffs graduates were in employment or further education after leaving, which is crazy-good if you think about how competitive and tight the job market is for us young people.
After graduating from my BSc Psychology and Counselling course last year, I stuck around to do a postgraduate in MSc Health Psychology, as that was what was going to help me achieve my career goals. Many people I know went to other universities to do the same thing, while others went on straight into employment.
In either case, the point of the survey is to get a feel of how universities from around the country have fared in preparing their students for the next step in their career or education.
If you are a fellow graduate, then check out the survey here. The questions shouldn’t take too long to answer, and will provide helpful information both for the university, but also for future students who are making decisions on where they should go for their higher education.
You may even be in the chance to win some cute Staffs swag by filling in the survey!
