Final year hopes

As I’ve written in a previous blog post, I am terrified about going into my third year and not knowing what I’m going to do with my life after university.

However more recently I’ve had some work placements which have shown me that the skills I’m learning at university are actually going to help me to get a job in the long run.

The thing I’m really looking forward to is getting to throw myself fully into my course, now that I’ve quit my part time job, which wasn’t an easy decision and I’m still not sure if it was the right one as I’ll definitely be living the poor broke student life!

Quite a few things have changed in the weeks coming up to starting my third year, I’ve got a few bylines in papers and even got my face on the front of one, as a heavily pregnant woman.

I personally want to grab all of the opportunities that get sent my way this year, and make the most of the time with my friends I’ve made as if I’m this busy now I feel like its going to get even more hectic towards graduation.

Despite feeling at a loss for ideas when it comes to dissertations, final projects, assessments etc. I’m hoping I get a sudden rush of inspiration from somewhere!

Womens hockey match being played on the 3g pitchOn a less academic note I so want to win varsity this year. Stupidly I’ve now put this in writing so when we inevitably lose overall varsity again I will probably be constantly reminded of this.

BUT! With it being my last year I have every intention of having as much fun as possible, while trying to get my work done, placements done and getting some sleep in there when I can!

Heres to a good third year!
