STAR WARS: THE FORCE AWAKENS!

What’s up, my padawans? (too cringey?)

The title definitely needed that exclamation mark. Now, as I am writing this… it has been exactly four weeks on the dot that Star Wars: The Force Awakens was released and I was lucky to watch it on the midnight release… the next day. Well, nobody’s perfect!

But if you think about it, it’s quite a clever stratagem. Me and my friend managed to catch the film at a time where the whole screening room would not be full of fans… quite the opposite… in total there were only six of us. We had the best seats, the full 3D IMAX experience… and let me tell you… I have been a Star Wars fan as long as I can remember. I remember when the prequels came out (No! Sit back down! I know how fans can get regarding the prequels… I’m a fan of the unaltered originals myself!) I remembered how as a child, the films blew my mind completely.

I could understand how in this modern day and age, trying to meddle with sacred childhood franchise can have a devastating effect however I can happily say, without any spoilers what so ever that this new chapter in the Star Wars franchise has left me ecstatic and proud. J.J Abrams has excelled in recapturing the original feel of Star Wars and the new band of heroes that have joined to fight the tyranny of the Empire have left me rooting for the Republic once again!Jaz's Star Wars cinema ticket

I definitely encourage you to grab a ticket and head to the nearest cinema while you can.

Oh… and for old time sake…

May the force be with you.

Peace.

I’m Jaz! You’ve arrived at my blog about life through a 22-year old’s eyes. I’ve chosen Staffs to take the first steps for my career within the radio industry and hope it will lead me to being a sound designer and produce Radio Dramas/Documentaries for the BBC! I love drinking copious amounts of green tea and watching classic Doctor Who episodes. I’m #ProudToBeStaffs because of the amount of banter! Students – listen up - get involved with as much as you can. University tends to flyby when you are having fun.
