Hi everyone,
I hope you had a lovely Christmas and New years! I did to a degree, but I was busy working for my radio station back home on Christmas day as I was scheduling and running the days programming (stressful work but really fulfilling!) I spent Christmas day with the radio on and constantly making sure everything was running smoothly so I kind of missed my Christmas, but here’s a picture from my day at the station:
Coming home from University was extremely refreshing! I don’t have the opportunity to go home at weekends as I live just under 200 miles away from home, so this was the first time of going back since the October reading week! I need my times at home because I need to have the normal routine and my family, as my illness makes it quite hard being away from home. As much as I missed my family, I could always talk to them and they were always on the end of the phone. The one I missed the most was my 15 month Goldendoodle (Golden Retriever and Poodle cross!) Tilly. And I’ve had the time to just spend with her which has been wonderful! Although she hates me for this:
Semester one was over, I packed up the majority of my room and came back to Essex which has been a nice jump back into my normal. I was proud of myself for even achieving one semester as I had initially thought I wasn’t going to be going to university at all! I have made so many leaps that I never thought I could and I can’t wait to see what Semester 2 has in store for me! My News Years was the first time I have gone “out”, as I don’t tend to really celebrate it as a holiday! But we went to a film themed fancy dress party and being the geek that I am, I decided to follow my Ravenclaw roots, with a Luna Lovegood costume (complete with spectrespecs!), here is myself and my gorgeous siblings and the hosts dog Sadie:
Although I am feeling nervous about my return to university, I look forward to seeing what the new year has in store for me!
Rebecca
