Walking in a Hanley Winter Wonderland

Yo-Ho-Ho! (Now, I may have come across either rude or as a pirate…)

Well, here we are once again. It’s December. The days have become colder and everywhere you go, you can hear Christmas music blaring out on all the radio stations (Okay, I’ll admit it… that was me on Thursday. I’m a sucker for Christmas music). However, if you haven’t had the chance to go to Hanley recently then I urge you to go as right now the fabled ‘Hanley’s Winter Wonderland’ is coming to town (Well, it’s already here but I’m trying to be festive!).15326617_10211660098366207_7350970979551558175_n

Yes! The Winter Wonderland here and I decided to have a look see as it made a change from worrying about all the important deadlines that need to be handed in within the next week or two 15202756_10211660097646189_6169858572385101245_n(Oops…). Now, those who know me are well aware that I do love the Christmas festivities. It’s a time for me to get all the work done before relaxing with little to no stress back at home with the family. However, being here at the Winter Wonderland really made me realise how much this holiday means to me (I promise you, it’s got nothing to do with that tasty Bavarian Frankfurt I had).
This is a time for me to celebrate the end of the year with those who are close to me and look forward to seeing what the future brings.15253476_10211660097966197_1898054683542806523_n

Plus, you can’t really complain when you get to go to Christmas themed events like this. Did I mention it was free too? Without sounding like a cheap advert, it’s definitely something nice and Christmassy to do before you pack your bags and head home for the month.

Besides, it finally put a smile on my co-presenter Josh who is known to be a Scrooge! Christmas miracles eh? 😉15326472_10211660097166177_6632721892182448780_n

This won’t be the last you see of me before the year is over so I’d like to wish you all a VERY Merry Christmas and a extraordinary 2017 (Honestly, we could do with a good year…)

Peace.

I’m Jaz! You’ve arrived at my blog about life through a 22-year old’s eyes. I’ve chosen Staffs to take the first steps for my career within the radio industry and hope it will lead me to being a sound designer and produce Radio Dramas/Documentaries for the BBC! I love drinking copious amounts of green tea and watching classic Doctor Who episodes. I’m #ProudToBeStaffs because of the amount of banter! Students – listen up - get involved with as much as you can. University tends to flyby when you are having fun.
