Organisation Summary
FIT-IN Forensic (Science), Innovation & Technology – Information Network
What Works Centre for Crime Reduction  A centre supported by the College of Policing to:

  • Undertake and build capacity for research in priority policing areas
  • Collate and share the best available evidence, embedding them into standards and practice
  • Raise research awareness and the importance of using appropriate robust research methods.

The site offers direct access to their Research Map and Crime Reduction Toolkit as well as a range of UK policing focussed online resources. As a result, these online resources are not relisted here.

National Police Library UK College of Policing members can access this national collection of resources including over 10,000 journals, books, eBooks and significant volumes of policing grey literature unavailable elsewhere.
Police ICT Knowledge Hub POLKA (Police OnLine Knowledge Area) has now been replaced by the Police ICT Knowledge Hub, which the UK policing community and its partners (with a police sponsor) can join. This hub enables the UK policing community to network, ask questions, share insights, discuss ideas and suggest new ways of working.
