Report about to be published, co-authored by C3 Centre’s Lens-based researcher Rebecca Nunes, as part of a University Forensics Partnership with Staffordshire Police
Associate Professor Becky Nunes led on this Enterprise project, with key outcomes being:
- Rigorous testing of mirrorless technology DSLR camera kits.
- Provision of recommendations around the purchase of new equipment for forensic officers at Staffordshire Police.
- Integration of new mirrorless kit into Force procedural work, including the development of new protocols for use in the field.
- Bespoke camera skills training developed and delivered by university staff to 5 x cohorts across 2025.
- Training was developed and delivered on budget.
- Income from project: £12000.00
Following the success of this pilot, Staffordshire Police are committed to a four-year plan of development and delivery with the university.
There is also significant potential for this training to be expanded and delivered to other forces across the region.
