On 22nd-23rd January, Dr Caroline Sturdy Colls presented her research at the International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance (IHRA) Conference in Krakow, Poland. Her paper, entitled ‘Learning from the Present to Understand the Past: Forensic and Archaeological Approaches to Sites of the Holocaust’, addressed how forensic and archaeological methods can be used to search for mass grave sites.
The ‘Killing Sites’ conference bought together experts from all over Europe to discuss previous projects and future directions in the location of massacre sites from the Holocaust.
