Five years on from the discovery of the Staffordshire Hoard in a field near Lichfield, the Centre of Archaeology is hosting a free public lecture on the 11th of June at 7pm by Stephen Dean, the Principal Archaeologist for Staffordshire County Council. At the event, Stephen will be presenting a fascinating talk that highlights some of the new and exciting discoveries that has been made during the conservation work and what the latest theories are regarding one of the most important archaeological finds dating to the Saxon period. The talk begins at 7pm a the Science Centre on the 11th of June 2014.
