A television documentary following work undertaken by the Centre of Archaeology at Staffordshire University has won a prestigious award. Treblinka: Hitler’s Killing Machine, which was broadcast on the Smithsonian Channel earlier this year, won the CINE Golden Eagle Award in the Televised Documentary and Performance Division – History category.
The documentary follows the work of Dr Caroline Sturdy Colls, staff from the Centre of Archaeology at Staffordshire University and an international team of experts as they uncover the remains of extermination and labour camps at Treblinka.
