Data Scientist (Remote)

Senior Toxicology Scientist

The job holder plans and manages preclinical activities. This involves designing and managing toxicology programmes to support new product development. The job holder represents the company to contract research organisations (CRO), academic centres and development partners.

Requirements: • A degree (BSc, MSc or PhD) in Toxicology or another appropriate scientific discipline

• Good toxicology background with strong experience gained in the pharmaceutical industry or contract research organisation (CRO) environment
• Knowledge of applicable regulatory guidelines and legislation
• Experienced in scientific writing and project management/study conduct oversight
• Good organisational skills and the ability to prioritise
• Ability to lead, direct, manage, motivate and develop individuals and third parties
• Good report writing and presentation skills
• Good communication skills
• Excellent attention to detail
• Working knowledge of Excel, Word, PowerPoint, search engines and databases used for literature searches
• Ability to work in a team and as an individual
• Demonstrates a pragmatic approach to problem solving

With many companies currently remote working due to COVID-19 and many advertised job positions being virtual, recruiters are looking for digital skills which are transferable and adaptable based on the position. Remote working has led to the sudden requirement of digital skills in order to successful communicate and operate effectively from home. Studies from Microsoft, suggested 90% of jobs in the next decade will require some form of digital skills, increasing the demand for technical skills in the near future.
