Excavating one of the previously unknown mass grave at the Execution Site at Treblinka I

A documentary following charting the 2013 season of work at Treblinka extermination and labour camps in Poland premiered on the Smithsonian Channel in the United States this weekend.

The documentary, entitled “Treblinka: Hitler’s Killing Machine” was aired on the 29th March 2014, and follows the work of Dr Caroline Sturdy Colls and her team as they attempt to locate the gas chambers and mass graves at Treblinka.

This follows the airing of a UK version of the documentary back in November on Channel 5 as part of the Genius and Genocide series
