The Centre of Archaeology is committed to providing unrivalled support, expertise and consultancy on a wide variety of commercial, research and community archaeological projects. We provide a cost-effective approach, combined with the highest standards of data collection.
Our dedicated and professional Commercial Services team offers a diverse range of skills and experience for the successful completion of archaeological projects ranging from long-term research programmes to commercial, development-led ventures and forensic police consultancy.
The team is supported by management staff with 15 years of relevant experience in completing archaeological projects. We offer advice and fee quotations on archaeology requirements within the planning process; desk-based assessments, evaluations, excavations, geophysical and topographical surveys, and GIS-based analysis.
Striving to enhance archaeological field practice, our research team is currently undertaking pioneering work in the fields of Holocaust Archaeology and forensic approaches to buried remains.
We actively promote interest in the historic environment through outreach programmes, community engagement activities, and public lectures. We also offer archaeological short courses and training programmes that are suitable for Continuing Professional Development (CPD) for students, police forces, organisations and individuals.
